Hi there! My name is
Sandee Hyde and I am a self taught mixed-media artist. I've
always loved art and spent many years making fabric quilts. I
came to mixed-media and altered art quite by accident! I
signed up for an Altered Book class at my local scrapbooking
store, not really knowing what it was. However, after that
class, I was hooked!
I love working with
paper! All kinds of paper. My preference for images are that
of a vintage nature and I love using ephemera in my work as
well. Actually, I'll work with just about anything: fibers,
paint, wood and rusty things, as long as it adds to my piece.
I just recently started making fabric jounal pages and my goal
for 2008 is to start making assemblages.
On a personal note, I've
been married to a terrific guy since 1984 and have three sons,
ages 18, 16 and 12. I'm really excited about being on the
