I didn't start creating until 2006, a few years after my youngest was born. I started with rubber stamping, but soon found so many other outlets for my need to make a mess. Mixed media is one of my favorites because it incorporates so many things - painting, ink, paper, fabric, stamping. What's not to love? A few of my cards have been published in different magazines, and it surprised me every time. Just as being selected to work with Jackie's gorgeous images for her design team has been such a pleasant surprise. At 42, I feel like I finally found a place where I can be as messy and crazy as I need to be, but still can create beautiful works.
I'm a technique addict, enjoying the mixing of all sorts of things, like a mad scientist, to create something unique. I also really enjoy writing those techniques down and sharing them with people. Most of my stuff incorporates some new product I found that I just had to try. I hope to contribute my love of taking a disaster and making it pretty to the team.
